Products that say fair trade? What on earth does that mean? I recently visted http://www.benjerry.com/activism/inside-the-pint/fair-trade/ curious of what fair trade meant. Well in easier terms the products that countries like africa, india, and mexico make that are traded and sent to america are often times not traded fairly. There imports are paid for cheaply and workers and harvesters do not get paid equal amounts of money for there work making products that we use or eat-such as cocoa, coffee, vanilla and so on. So that mean when you do buy something that is labled FAIR TRADE you can be positive you buying it so that the workers and harvesters are getting a fair amount of money for the product for you to enjoy! Let's stop this social injustice and buy more fair trade products!
